# Expert advice:

01 -
  • These little bites possess that magical quality of disappearing faster than you can set down the serving plate, no matter how many you make.
  • The combination of flaky, buttery pastry with juicy halal sausages creates that perfect balance of textures that makes your taste buds dance with joy.
02 -
  • If your puff pastry tears while working with it, simply pinch it back together with slightly dampened fingertips rather than starting over.
  • Allowing the wrapped sausages to chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before baking helps the pastry maintain its shape and results in more dramatic puffing.
03 -
  • For the flakiest results, ensure your puff pastry is cold but pliable, and your oven is fully preheated before baking.
  • A light spritz of water on the pastry just before it goes into the oven creates extra steam, resulting in even more dramatic puffing and delicate layers.
