04 - Remove tea bags, stir in orange juice and honey or maple syrup. Simmer for 2 additional minutes to blend flavors.
05 - Strain tea into a teapot or heatproof pitcher, discarding solids. Serve hot, garnished with extra orange slices or cranberries if desired.

# Expert advice:

01 -
  • The combination of tart cranberries and sweet orange creates the perfect balance that feels both cozy and refreshing
  • Your home will smell absolutely incredible while this simmers, making it worth making just for the aroma alone
02 -
  • The cranberries will pop and soften completely as they simmer which is exactly what you want for maximum flavor extraction
  • Letting the spices simmer longer than 10 minutes can make the tea taste bitter so set a timer
03 -
  • Use a vegetable peeler to create long orange strips instead of rounds if you want easier sipping
  • Lightly crush the cloves with the back of a spoon before adding them to release more of their essential oils
