# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 12 Hawaiian rolls

→ Cheese

02 - 12 slices cheddar cheese or preferred melting cheese

→ Butter Mixture

03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon dried parsley
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F.
02 - Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls attached to each other without separating into individual rolls.
03 - Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet. Lay one slice of cheese on each roll bottom, overlapping as needed to cover evenly.
04 - Place the tops of the rolls back on to close the sandwiches.
05 - In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, dried parsley, and salt until well blended.
06 - Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls using a pastry brush.
07 - Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
08 - Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then cut into individual sandwiches. Serve warm.

# Expert advice:

01 -
  • The sweet Hawaiian rolls create this perfect balance with savory melted cheese that nobody can resist
  • You can prep everything in ten minutes flat while the oven does the heavy lifting
02 -
  • Keeping the rolls attached while baking helps them steam slightly making them extra soft inside
  • Underbaked is better than overbaked here since the cheese keeps melting even after they leave the oven
03 -
  • Use a serrated knife in a gentle sawing motion to avoid squishing the soft rolls while slicing
  • Let the butter mixture cool slightly so it thickens up and clings better to the rolls
